A quick thought came to my mind when I read one of the steps listed on how to use castor oil: ‘Allow castor oil to stay in your hair for at least 15 to 20 minutes or allow it to set overnight.’ I think in my next oil rinsing, I will allow the castor oil to set overnight, then in the morning I will apply my conditioner, wait for 30 minutes then rinse out. Let’s see how that will go…

Castor oil is my favorite oil. It always leaves my hair feeling incredibly soft and manageable. However, it may not work on thinner hair types–my sister has 3c hair and she hates it.

    • BlackZulu says:

I absolutely agree, Lena. I have thinner hair and initially I found it way too heavy for my strands so I stopped using it. However, I have learnt to use very little because the benefits are so great! I also try to thin it out with a wee bit of coconut oil. When I did the castor oil challenge, I just washed my hair twice a week to help.
