BEAUTY DIY: Baking Soda & Lemon Juice Face Mask

Source: Embrace The Curl

Lemon juice is chock full of antioxidants that fight off the damaging effects of free radicals and baking soda will help gently restore the pH of your skin while also removing dry and dead cells clinging to the surface of your skin.  This combination together is rather potent when used internally and externally.

To help minimize pores and reduce blackheads, do the following:

  1. Mix a small amount of baking soda and lemon juice into a thin paste
  2. Gently smooth this mixture onto your face and neck
  3. Let it rest for 20 minutes, if you can stand it, and rinse with lukewarm water.
  4. After rinsing the mask and patting your skin dry, follow up with your favorite moisturizer for best results.

You should instantly notice fewer blackheads and smaller pores.  Use this at least twice a week, and only leave the mask on as long as your skin can take it.

I use fresh lemon juice in my recipes simply because buying a lemon is super cheap, but I’m sure you can use the bottled version!
Good luck. Do come back and let me know how this works for you 🙂
